Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1

Day 1

7:30 AM pickup at your Anchorage hotel, followed by an incredibly scenic 135 mile trip to Great Alaska.  Following orientation and lunch, it’s onto the plane for a  50 minute bush flight to Bearcamp.  Spend the day with the royalty of Alaskan wildlife.  Overnight in double occupancy weather-port tent/cabins.
Day 2

Day 2

Wake on your own schedule to hot coffee and spectacular wilderness.  Watch the big bruins with their cubs in a stunning backdrop of glacial peaks.  Perhaps a discussion with homesteader over the evening fire or a beach walk with the guides will be another highlight of your all too short stay in the incredible wilderness of Alaska.
Day 3

Day 3

Your final day in the wilderness.  Spend the morning enjoying hot coffee and your new friends as they wander about the meadow and work to put on the coat of fat they will need for the coming winter.  After lunch you'll board the bushplane for the return flight to the main lodge, settle in to your riverfront rooms and enjoy happy hour, dinner and evening activities.

Day 4

Salmon fishing in a power boat. Two to four anglers per boat will drift, plug, or cast for the world’s largest Kings, Silvers, Sockeye and Pinks. (Five Day Trips depart the lodge at 2:30pm). You may choose to hike to a waterfall with leaping salmon or kayak a meandering Wildlife Refuge stream. Return to lodge in afternoon for well deserved nap before happy hour.

Day 4

Day 5

Today you'll leave the rods at camp enjoy Alaska's top single day cruise..in spectacular Kenai Fjords National Park.  Orca, Gray whales, Humpbacks, Sea Otter, Puffin and a myriad of sea birds call this amazing fjord home during the summer, with thousands of other species as well.  (Hard core fishermen may choose a day of halibut fishing offshore on this day rather than the cruise

Day 6

Day 6

Fly-out fishing adds another dimension to the Alaska experience and often can provide a special angling experience. We will choose hot spots for the peak of a Salmon run on each day’s adventure. Typically fly-outs allow for a little extra morning sleep prior to departure and get you back in time for happy hour.  Six day trips will feature day 8 of this itinerary and  return to the lodge in time for a 2:30 check out.
Day 7

Day 7

More fishing!  Today depending upon your preference, you may Go for the worlds's largest king salmon in a power boat, shore fish for feisty Sockeye salmon with spinning or fly rods ore more.  EIther way,  you'll.  You may also choose to hike to a waterfall with leaping salmon or kayak a meandering Wildlife Refuge stream).  Return to lodge in afternoon.
Day 7

Day 8

Your final day..choose from a wonderful hike to a waterfall to view leaping salmon, or target one last day of salmon or trout fishing on the river.  Return to the lodge at noon and check out at 2:30.  Return to Anchorage via Commuter flight or Floatplane direct from the lodge (air transfers not includedfinal day..choose from a wonderful hike to a waterfall to view leaping salmon, or target one last day of salmon or trout fishing on the river.  Return to the lodge at noon and check out at 2:30.  Return to Anchorage via Commuter flight or Floatplane direct from the lodge (air transfers not included).
