Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1

Day 1

We’ll pick you up at your hotel in Anchorage at 7:45 am for the beautiful trip to Great Alaska. After a thorough orientation and a great Alaskan lunch, you’ll meet your guide and head for the fish- some to wade a mountain stream, some to drift and float tube at a Rainbow Lake, and others to work the river in a sled or drift boat. Finally, some may opt to sharpen their fly fishing skills with our casting instructor on our famous record setting beach.
Day 2

Day 2

Today you'll head to the waterfront town of Seward, and board our offshore sportfisherman, the "Fair Chase".  We'll steam offshore towards Prince William Sound or Aialik Bay and the entrance to the Gulf of Alaska for Halibut, ling cod or  even Silver Salmon.  (Early season trips will fish Cook Inlet).  6 anglers will plumb the depths of Kenai Fjords National Park waters in the company of the towering glaciers and mighty cetaceans (whales).  This is a remarkable Alaskan experience.  ITINERARY NOTE: You may choose to target freshwater fish each day if you are a landlubber!)
Day 3

Day 3

Trophy Trout in the Wildlife Refuge – clear mountain water, beautiful drifts, and great fishing. Two to four anglers per boat drift & wade in search of Char, Silvers, Sockeye, and especially Rainbow Trout. Mainly wading, this day is excellent for spin or fly enthusiasts seeking large trout. (Trout season begins June 15th.)
Day 4

Day 4

Fly-out fishing adds another dimension to the Alaska adventure and often can provide a special angling experience. We will choose hot spots for Mountain Grayling on each day’s adventure. Typically fly-outs allow for a little extra morning sleep in time prior to departure and get you back in time for happy hour.  Guests may choose a morning 1/2 day fishing charter and fly to bearcamp for a few hours instead of the day of fly out fishing).
Day 5

Day 5

Salmon fishing in specially designed river boat or drift for Salmon and Trout in stable Mackenzie River Drift Boats. And for variety in the experience, you may opt to wade a mountain stream for Char or float tube a Wilderness lake for Rainbow Trout. We will tailor the trips to your personal wishes.
Day 6

Day 6

Another day of trophy trout or salmon fishing...it's your call!(6 day trips depart after breakfast by Float Plane for Anchorage at 10:30am).
Day 7

Day 7

Your second Halibut/Salmon charter to the current hot spot....on some days we'll head mix it up with a trip to Cook Inlet and it's phenomenal Halibut fishing.  We'll launch off the beach with huge converted log skidders (tractors on steroids) and fish in the relativel shallow water and sandy bottom.  Early trips may also troll for king salmon on the incoming tide.  Of course, depending upon weather, you may return to Seward for another day of halibut or opt for freshwater fishing instead.  Return to lodge in late afternoon, depending upon weather and tides.
Day 8

Day 8

Sleep late, enjoy breakfast with Chef Stanley, and depart by float plane at 10:30am.

Morning pickup at your Anchorage Hotel in our private van for the scenic trip to the lodge. Arrive in time for lunch, followed by Salmon fishing in a power or drift boat.  Four anglers per boat will drift, plug, or cast for Kings and Sockeye in May through July, and Silvers, Sockeye, and Pinks in August and September.  Charters will often target several species, including Rainbow and Char.  See our seasonal chart
