Day 1

Day 1

Pick up in Anchorage for the beautiful ride down the Kenai Peninsula. Orientation and lunch at the main lodge and then on to the airport for the spectacular bush plane flight to our Bear Camp. The balance of your day is spent viewing bears.  Unimited time on the platform and ground level viewing stations- no more than 12 guests at any time ensure at remarkable experience for you.  Cuisine is flown in daily from the main lodge and prepared by your guides. Overnight in comfortable “Weather Port” tent cabins with twin beds, and propane heat.
Day 2

Day 2

Wake at your own schedule to hot coffee or tea, then spend the morning with the royalty of Alaskan Wildlife- the incredible Brown Bear  No roads access this area so you'll get a glimpse of the true "homesteader experience", and experience a true Alaskan wilderness as you feel your internal clock reset to a different pace. For those who want to stretch their legs a beach hike is just the ticket.  You'll watch as the sun "almost" sets as you learn about the bears and local homesteader history over the evening fire on the beach and learn what life is still like in the wild's of Alaska.
Day 4

Day 3

One more final morning with the bears and true wilderness.  After lunch, your return bush flight will bring you back to our main lodge on the Kenai River.  Settle in to your riverside cabin with private bath, and fireplace, overlooking the confluence of the Kenai and Moose rivers.  Welcome back to our version of civilization!

Day 4

Today is an active and fun day.  Start the morning with a mountain hike to salmon jumping waterfalls to get to their spawning grounds, or walk a Tundra game trail for panoramic views of the glaciered mountains and river valley.  After lunch, board a boat for an afternoon of salmon fishing.  Expert and novice alike will enjoy the camaraderie and probably catch a fish for the table back home.

Day 5

Day 5

Today we'll cruise the incomparable Kenai Fjords National Park! On the way to Seward to stretch our legs by walking to the face of a retreating Glacier close enough to almost touch.  Then it's on to Seward to  spend the rest of this day cruising and seeking calving Glaciers, Humpback whales and Orca, charming Sea Otters and endangered Stellar Sea Lions. Return to the lodge in time for happy hour.  ITINERARY NOTE:  5 day stays will depart late afternoon of this day, arriving Anchorage approximately 6:00 p.m.

Day 6

Today you'll l float through the aquamarine waters of one of the upper Kenai River...one of Alaska’s most prodigious salmon spawning grounds.  The return of millions of salmon each year brings Black and Brown Bear and Eagle in numbers to feast on salmon eggs and the carcasses of hundreds of thousands of dying salmon.  Along with the migration of the huge Caribou herds, this is one Alaska’s most amazing wildlife events.  Return to lodge for happy hour, dinner and overnight.
Day 6

Day 7

No one should miss Homer and the “End of the Road”. See early Russian churches, active volcanoes, mountain vistas and probably baby Moose with their mothers.  Your first view of Homer and Kachemak Bay is truly unforgettable and we will spend a fun filled day exploring the art and rustic uniqueness of a bush community at “Land’s End”

Day 6

Day 8

This morning you'll enjoy the calm waters of the Kenai National Wildlfie Refuge.  Depart the main lodge via comfortable stable kayaks or canoes.  In the early season nesting swans call this ara home, along with giant Moose, black bear and numerous waterfowl and more.  You'll leave civilization behind at the boarder of the Kenai National Widlife Refuge and take a shore break at our tent camp a few miles upriver.  Return to the main lodge in time for checkout and flight back to Anchorage (flight not included).
