Day-by-Day Itinerary


Day 1

Day 1

The morning tour on Alaska’s most scenic highway crosses 2 mountain passes & brings you to the lodge for a Riverview lunch. Then board a Bush Plane for the flight to our Lake Clark National Park Bear Camp, named “Best U.S.Bush Camp” by Outside Magazine. Dine on Cordon Bleu, sleep in comfortable heated tent cabins and spend two days watching wild bear in Alaska’s most exciting outdoor show.

Day 2

Day 2

Wake at your own schedule to hot coffee or tea, then spend the morning with the royalty of Alaskan Wildlife-  the incredible Brown Bear  After lunch, your return bush flight will bring you back to our main lodge on the Kenai River.  Settle in to your riverside cabin with private bath. Hot showers, Happy hour and dinner welcome you back to civilization!   


Day 3

Day 3

Today float the clear mountain waters of one of Alaska’s most prodigious Salmon spawning rivers. This annual event brings Bear and Eagle in numbers to feast on salmon eggs and the carcasses of hundreds of thousands of dying salmon. This scenic fl oat will bring you memories that you will keep for a lifetime.

Day 4

North to Alaska! Visit the Fish Netting Site of early native peoples then hear the Russian history come to life in the words of the Father of the still standing Orthodox Church. Then spend time inside a fi shing Cannery, watching as they process the salmon catch of the nearby anchored fl eet---some from the “World’s Deadliest Catch.” End your day panning “Gold” from the gravel of a producing mountain stream

Day 5

Kenai Fjords National Park! Hike to the face of a retreating Glacier & spend the rest of this day cruising amid Calving Glaciers, Humpback and Killer Whales, charming Sea Otters and endangered Stellar Sea Lions. Return to the lodge in time for happy hour.

Day 6

Day 6

The End of the Road! See early Russian Churches, active volcanoes, mountain vistas, a famous artist, and probably baby Moose with their mothers. Your fi rst view of Homer on Kachemak Bay is unforgettable as you spend a fun filled day exploring the art and rustic uniqueness of a bush community at “Land’s End”.


Day 7

This morning boat into the silent and animal fi lled Wildlife Refuge, Hike a Tundra game trail---and then board Stable River kayaks for the slow drift down the meandering stream of a Wilderness Paradise. You may opt instead to join a salmon charter on your last morning. Seven day trips depart for Anchorage in the afternoon.


Day 8

And now the Denali Experience!  We’ll depart in the morning for the incredibly scenic trip to the historic bush community of Talkeetna, base camp for the Denali climbing community.  You and your guide will walk the old streets of this unique town well within view of the tallest mountain in North America. Overnight at a wonderful local inn.  

Day 9

Day 9

Following breakfast, we’ll head for the small-plane airport at the entrance of Denali National Park.  There you will board a Cessna for the flight to the back of the park with the glaciers, valleys and peaks of Mt. McKinley in full view.  Lunch and an some quiet time will precede the five-hour wildlife tour of the famous road back to the park entrance.  Dinner and overnight at the park entrance.

Following breakfast, your guide will see you off to Anchorage via the historic Alaska railroad. The scenic train ride leaves the Park at noon and will have you back in downtown Anchorage at  8:30pm.
