Legendary Tarpon fishing is the hallmark of these Caribbean waters where Silver Kings in excess of 100 pounds feed offshore and cruise the famous Tortuguero rivers. Spin and fly anglers alike fish 3, 4 or 6 days, chasing one of the world’s great game fish from our wonderful jungle lodge. Day-by-Day Itinerary


Day 1

Arrival Day

Fly into Costa Rica’s capital city and catch a cab to your downtown hotel (hotel and cab is not included).  Overnight in a great, metropolitan city. 

Day 1

7:00 pickup at your San Jose hotel, then travel through a Cloud forest and Banana Plantations to the edge of the Jungle.  At the end of the road, your guides will be waiting to pick you up and take the last leg (by boat) of the trip upriver to the waterfront lodge.  Following lunch, an afternoon of Tarpon or snook fishing in one of our jungle lagoons.  Return to Lodge for happy hour and dinner. 
Day 3

Day 2

Following an early breakfast, a guided charter for Tarpon or other species, depending upon conditions.  Return to the lodge for lunch and a brief siesta, then its back out for another fishing trip in another location.  Your guide will explain the options for the day.  Return to lodge for happy hour, dinner and overnight. 
Day 4

Day 3

Following an early breakfast, a guided charter for Tarpon or other species, depending upon conditions.  Return to the lodge for lunch and a brief siesta, then its back out for another fishing trip in another location.  Your target species will depend upon the weather, seas, river conditions and of course your own input about how you like to fish.  Your guide will explain the options for the day.  Return to lodge for happy hour, dinner and overnight.  
Day 5

Day 4

Another day targeting Tarpon or other species, depending upon conditions.  Return to the lodge for lunch and a brief siesta, then its back out for another fishing experience in another location.   The variety of the Torguguero region is legendary.  Your guide will explain the options for the day.  Return to lodge for happy hour, dinner and overnight. (4/3 Depart this day after breakfast) 
Day 6

Day 5

A full day of activity. Following an early breakfast, a guided charter for Tarpon or other species, depending upon conditions.  Return to the lodge for lunch and a brief siesta, then its back out for another fishing trip in another location.  Choose to explore the areas incredible scenery and wildlife rather than fishing, or simlpy set your rod down and pick up your camery between casts. (5/4 Depart this day after breakfast) 

 

Day 5

Day 6

A full day of activity. Following an early breakfast, a guided charter for Tarpon or other species, depending upon conditions.  Return to the lodge for lunch and a brief siesta, then its back out for another fishing trip in another location.  Your guide will explain the options for the day.  Return to lodge for your final happy hour, dinner and overnight.
DEPARTURE DAY
Depart for San Jose after breakfast- arrive at airport by approximately 11:00, or drop off at your San Jose Hotel (Hotel not included).
