The ultimate Alaska sightseeing trip.
DAY 1/2 We 'll pick you up in Anchorage at 7:45 AM for the beautiful trip to Great Alaska. Check into the lodge, and following a detailed orientation and salmon-bake lunch, board the spectacular bush-plane flight to our exclusive Bear Camp in Lake Clark National Park. The balance of the day will be spent viewing Bears at a camp, named " Best Bush Camp" by Outside Magazine. Overnight at the camp. Rise to the sound of waves lapping at our wilderness shoreline, then a hearty breakfast and more time with the incredible Brown Bear. You will be struck by the silence and the grandeur of this private place as you glass and photograph Alaska's most impressive animal. In the afternoon, another spectacular 1-hour flight will touch down in Soldotna, Alaska, followed by a shuttle to the main lodge. Settle in to your riverside cabin with private bath. Happy hour and dinner welcome you back to civilization!
DAY 3 : Following breakfast, we'll travel to gorgeous Kenai Lake for a serene float through the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge. As the gorgeous scenery rolls by, we'll hope to spot some of the Moose, Brown and Black bear, Bald eagles, Common loons, Harlequin ducks and other waterfowl that call this sanctuary home. If you would rather stretch your muyscles you can kayak the quiet meandering stream in the Wildlife Refuge. Overnight at the lodge.
DAY 4 : Today brings a breathtaking cruise of Kenai Fjords National Park! On the way to Seward we'll stop and enjoy a gentle hike to the base of a retreating glacier before boarding a comfortable boat. Spend the day viewing glaciers, fjords and mountain peaks, and spotting for Humpback Whales, resident Orcas, charming Sea Otter and Puffin. Return to the lodge in time for happy hour and dinner.
DAY 5: Homer! No trip to Alaska is complete without a visit to the End of the Road and Homer. Enroute we will see early Russian Churches, Active Volcanoes and probably baby moose with their mothers. Your first view of Homer and Kachemak Bay is truly unforgettable and we will spend a fun filled day exploring the art and uniqueness of the famous boardwalk at "Land's End". Return to the lodge in time for dinner.
DAY 6: Today we explore a tundra trail in the Chugach National Forest. Visit a spectacular viewing platform above the famous Russian River to observe leaping Salmon leaping in an unbelievable display of "survival of the fittest."

DAY 7: Salmon fishing as four anglers per boat will pursue wild Alaska Salmon. Combination charters will often target several species, including Rainbow Trout. Non fishing guests may choose to participatye in a hike on a Tundra Trail and ride behind the Husky team of a Champion Iditarod Musher. Return to the lodge for overnight.

DAY 8: And now the Denali Experience! We'll depart in the morning for the road to the historic bush community of Talkeetna, base camp for the mountain climbing assaults on the " Great One". You and your guide will walk the old streets of this unique town well within view of the tallest mountain in North America. Overnight at a cozy hotel.
DAY 9: Rise at a civilized hour and head for the small-plane airport at the entrance to Denali National Park. There you will board a Cessna 206 for the flight to the back of the park with the glaciers, valleys and peaks of Mt. McKinley in full view. Lunch and a little gold panning will precede the five-hour wildlife tour of the famous road back to the park entrance. The combination of a flight into the park and the legendary wildlife tour back out is the quintessential way to visit Denali National Park. Dinner and overnight at the park entrance.
DA Y 10: Following breakfast, your guide will see you off to Anchorage via the historic Alaska railroad. The scenic train ride leaves the Park at noon and will have you back in downtown Anchorage at 8:30pm.
