5 days/4 nights- $2495

June - September

Our Family Adventure is perfect for the family that wants to experience all that is Alaska. Each group of 4 or more may have an exclusive departure featuring guided hiking, wildlife cruising, sports fishing, rafting, dog mushing and a trip to the End of the Road . We can easily tailor the activities to perfectly suit your own families interest and activity level. Our two-room suites with spiral staircase are popular and our evening Beach Guide will take particular interest in developing the children s fishing skills. Many clients choose to add a trip to Bear Camp to the Family Adventure.
Day 1: Pick-up in Anchorage and transfer to the main lodge for a salmon lunch and orientation, after which your guide will take you on a nature hike in the Chugach National Forest. Some may opt, instead, for a Salmon Fishing charter in safe river boats. Return to the lodge in time for happy hour, dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Seward, home of the Harding Ice Field, is today's destination. We will hike to the base of a glacier, and then spend the day on what many claim is Alaska's #1 Wildlife Cruise in Kenai Fjords National Park. We may be able to wave to the kayaking guests at our Wilderness Seacoast Adventure Coast. Return to the lodge for dinner.
Days 3: Today it’s your choice, rafting or kayaking in the wildlife refuge. We can travel to gorgeous Kenai Lake for a serene float through the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge or paddle in safe one person kayaks in the quiet meandering stream. We’ll hope to spot some of the Moose, Brown and Black Bear, Bald Eagles, Common Loons and waterfowl that call this sanctuary home. Return to the lodge for Overnight.
Day 4: Homer: No trip to Alaska is complete without a visit to the "End of the Road" and Homer. Enroute we will see early Russian Churches, Active Volcanoes and probably baby moose with their mothers. Your first view of Homer and Kachemak Bay is truly unforgettable and we will spend a fun filled day exploring the art and uniqueness of the famous boardwalk at "Land's End ". Return to the lodge in time for dinner.
Day 5: We will paddle and portage the Wilderness Trail in lightweight, inflatable kayaks. This trail, meandering the slow waters of the Wildlife Refuge, is world-famous with adventure paddlers and wildlife seekers. It may be your best opportunity to view wild game up close (Five day trips will depart at 2:30pm by floatplane or commuter flight.).
Day 6: Today will start with a ride behind the Husky sled dog team of an Iditarod Champion. Their will also be time to play with the puppies as we observe the development of these athletes in training for the “Last Great Race”. After lunch you will find yourself over looking the panoramic vistas of the Kenai Peninsula from the view point you scaled on a hike (mild to wild) in the Chugach Mountains. Return to the lodge for a welcome shower and happy hour.
Day 7: You'll have your choice of a hike to view spawning salmon jumping up a waterfall or a morning Salmon charter - it's your choice. Return to the lodge for showers and goodbyes. Depart the lodge for Anchorage at 2:30PM aboard the floatplane from our dock or via the commuter flight out of Kenai (transfers not included).
