Alaska Wilderness Lodge Remote Camps

The Wilderness Lodges and Outback Camps provide a perfect wilderness experience to compliment the comfort and service of the main Alaska lodge. Three different experiences await our back country clients who seek pure Wilderness and Wildlife Adventure in permanent, upscale tented camps in the African Safari tradition. Chosen by Outside magazine as “North America’s best Remote Camp”, our fly-in Lake Clark National Park Bear Camp sits in a one-in-a-million location… at the very site where the magnificent brown bears bring their cubs to feed after leaving their winter dens each spring.  Perched on a riverbank at the border of the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge, the Wildlife Tent Camp is a versatile full service base camp for sport fishing and nature lovers alike.  And encamped in a gorgeous, protected cove surrounded by towering vertical granite rock, cascading waterfalls and hanging glaciers, sits our Seacoast Adventure Camp, the perfect Base Camp for novice and expert Kayakers.

Great Alaska Bear Camp

In the shadow of glaciered Mt. Illiamna, between snow peaked mountains, forest and the sea, lies “Bear Camp”.  12 guests at a time will share this special area, housed in comfortable, heated tent-cabins complete with beds, propane light, writing desks with mattresses,. Meals are flown in daily and feature lodge cuisine along with wine and beverages.  The attentive, knowledgeable staff will teach you the ins and outs of staying in bear country, while sharing with you the knowledge that can only be gleaned from actually living with these magnificent animals.  This is one of Alaska’s most exclusive bear viewing destinations in Alaska.

Kenai Wildlife Tent Camp

Overlooking the serene Wildlife River and Kenai Mountains, the Tent camp is an ideal boat-in only location for accessing the myriad of lakes, streams, trails and Fjords of the Kenai Peninsula...  Breakfasts and dinners are served at the camp, with lunch “on the trail” as you raft, hike, bike, fish, view Bears and kayak each of your days with us.  A comfortable day lodge is perfect for dining and after activity gathering while the heated, high wall tents with beds provide guests with a cozy end to a perfect day.

Seacoast Adventure Camp

Resurrection Bay and Kenai Fjords National Park is a must for any Alaska visit and it is the jumping-off point for our Wilderness Kayak Camp.  In what has been called “Alaska’s coastal Yosemite”, our guides will keep you comfortable in  nylon tents with cots and well fed with wilderness meals featuring a hunter-gatherers’ bounty of the sea.  Wildlife virtually teems in the area and you will be paddling daily, hoping to view bears, sea otters, puffins and sea birds along with a chance at mountain goats, Orca, Humpback whales and more.
