Sitting on 25 acres of the original homestead site, our Kenai Riverside Alaska Fishing Lodge is at the very core of all we do. Overlooking the confluence of the Kenai and Moose rivers and an amazing view of the snow capped Chugach Range, the envy of other Alaska fishing lodges features a quarter mile of what is unquestionably the finest shore fishing on the Kenai River. In addition to the great Kenai River fishing, the confluence of the Moose and Kenai also provides us with access to the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge...just over a mile upstream from the lodge this warm, meandering and shallow stream is home to a prodigous amount of wildlife- nesting Tundra Swans, giant Alaskan Moose and Brown Bear, Lynx, Otter, Beaver, Eagles, Osprey and much more call this area home.  each evening canoes and kayaks are on the beach for your use to explore the are on your own...we also offer guided trips that range deeper into the area and return via shallow running custom riverboats.

Our central locations allows us to create all inclusive,  Alaska adventure trips that access the entire Kenai Peninsula’s beauty and bounty. Two separate saltwater locations, 5 river systems, three mountain ranges plus Lake Clark National Park, Chugach National Forest, Kenai National Wildlife Refuge and the Kenai River Special Management Area are just a few of the areas we explore ever day via riverboats, rafts, kayaks, small vans, bush planes, small cruise boats and of course our own two feet.

The Kenai Peninsula, located just south of Anchorage, has been called a microcosm of Alaska; over 16,000 square miles of impossible beauty and bounty.  Since the late 1800’s, adventurers have crossed the globe to experience its incredible variety of glacial ice and towering peaks, gentle lowlands, tundra, breathtaking saltwater fjords and abundant wildlife.  The Great Alaska Adventure Lodge is located at the very spot where for millennia natives spent the summers catching salmon to sustain them over the long winters.  This incredible riverfront location allows us to fashion all inclusive, personalized itineraries that explore the amazing wildlife and sport fishing of 3 National Parks and the Kenai Peninsula.

In addition to the main lodge, our remote, fly in Bear Viewing Camp (named Best Bush Camp in North America by Outside* magazine) is the perfect addition to your sport fishing or wildife viewing experience with Great Alaska Adventure Lodge.  50 minutes away by bush plane, you'll depart from the Soldotna Airstrip and leave civilzation behind.  Our experienced staff will teach you the ways of living in harmony with the bears and provide unlimited time on our raised viewing platform or one of the  ground level viewing stations.

Evening Activities

One of the many things that separate us from many lodges is our breadth of experience and our unique and popular Evening Activities.  Each night following happy hour and dinner, choose from world class wade fishing from our renowned stretch of Kenai River riverbank for "fishing the beach", or head upstream on the tranquil, warm waters of the Moose River to access the  Kenai River Wildlife Refuge (to see the nesting swans upriver in May, June and early July).  Perhaps a game of cards in the main lodge, a fly casting lesson with one of the guides or just sitting on the expansive deck overlooking the beautiful Kenai Mountains. We know that your time off the water or trail is an important component of any vacation experience.  At Great Alaska Adventure Lodge, we seek to provide a comfortable, accessible place away from the "Real world".  Chef Mike and his staff serve up authentic and fresh American favorites that everone can enjoy.  Vegetarian and special dietary needs or kid's items are handled daily, and all meals provide options to "go light" or stock up for the following days adventure!    In the evening prior to happy hour be sure and check out Mike's bacon wrapped Halibut chunks or his smoked salmon and Dill spread on thick rustic crackers.  Check out Mike's cooking tips and some of his favorite menu items here... 

Logistics
