My favorite fishing trip ever was a fall trip to Great Alaska. My college buddies...
Alaska Bear Viewing trips
Great Alaska BearCamp® is included in many of our five to ten day wildlife viewing and adventure travel vacations. It is often the highlight of any trip to Alaska when guests board a Bush Plane, and experience a journey into the the wilderness. Your flight carries you over Cook Inlet, home of the world’s second largest tide and parallels the ancient glaciers of two active volcanoes. The beach landing at our private camp in Lake Clark National Park begins one of the world’s great wildlife viewing experiences. Overnight guests guests approximately 24 hours (or 36 hours for the 3 day, 2 night trip) with these marvelous icons of Alaskan Wilderness before returning to the main lodge to share the experience at our nightly happy hour.
Overnight Trips (from $1,4950.00 per person) include a pickup in Anchorage with our courtesy van (3 separate hotels we pickup at- call us to find out which hotels we pick up at) transfer to our riverfront main lodge on the Kenai river followed by lunch and orientation, and then a short shuttle to the airstrip for the flight to BearCamp. You'll then stay the balance of the day at camp. Dinner is served in the evening, followed by one more trip to the viewing platform. We may even get to visit with a local homesteader's cabin and hear some authentic local flavor and stories of the old days!
The Bucket List- 11 big days of the best of the best. 3 days at BearCamp, plus 5 days at our riverside main lodge enjoying Glacier and wildlife cruising, Helicopter dog mushing, Offshore Halibut fishing and freshwater Salmon and Trout fishing. Add to that 3 big days exploring Denali on flight seeing, tour bus and the historic Alaska Railroad.
2 day Bear Viewing Adventure from Anchorage- R/T transfers from your Anchorage Hotel (downtown hotels only), lunch at
the main lodge, R/T flights to the BearCamp® and minimum 20 hours on
the ground. Return to your hotel approximately 9:00 pm on day two. Spice up our cruise or RV tour with true wilderness!
3 day Bear Viewing Adventure from Anchorage- R/T transfers from your Anchorage Hotel (downtown hotels only), lunch at the main lodge, R/T flights to the BearCamp® and minimum 20 hours on the ground. Return to your hotel approximately 9:00 pm on day two. Perfect for hard core photo and wildlife enthusiasts alike....
After breakfast, more quality time is spent watching and photographing the great bears and other wildlife, followed by a flight back to Soldotna some time after noon (depending upon tides, weather and variety of other factors). Those who have chosen round trip transfers from Anchorage will return to Anchorage in the late afternoon, arriving approximately 7:00 - 9:30 pm at your hotel. Those with rental cars will be on their own upon arrival to Soldotna. Due to the transient nature of these great animals,
Clients who drive in for our BearCamp trips will meet at our main lodge at 11:00am for check-in and instructions. Secure
Vehicle parking is available for bear camp clients. RV parking
overnights or camping are not available at Great Alaska Adventures. Deduct 100.00 per person for those who provide their own transfers from Anchorage.
