Alaska Resort Jobs: Great Alaska Adventure Lodge is one of the oldest, most respected sport fishing and adventure travel lodges in the state, and our greatest strength is our experienced, committed staff whose emphasis is to provide the trip of a lifetime for our guests. If you are looking for Alaska resort work or a chance at guiding in Alaska, this may be it. If your experience and passion is in sport fishing, the culinary arts, wildlife viewing and nature experiences or maintenance and operations, and if you have a "can do" attitude, a great work ethic and enjoy people, then we encourage you to contact us.
That being said, resort work in Alaska is not for everyone! We would encourage all applicants to consider that the work is challenging, and the long hours combine with our remoteness to create a work environment best suited for those who who do not "punch a clock"! Offshore Deckhand -
One of the most critical positions in our fishing program, the
deckhands are the heavy lifters- shuttling guests to the marina, working
on the deck all day long with heavy leads, sharp hooks and sometimes
inexperienced fishermen are all in a days work for this hardy breed.
Like all our fishing positions, a strong work ethic, self starter
mentality and great people skills are the three absolute must-haves for
this position. Like all our fishing
positions, all deckhands are part of the random drug program and must
provide a clean test prior to employment. (Not Available-2013).
Physical Plant Camp Manager - The Great Alaska lodge grounds encompass nearly 25 acres with 25 vehicles and 25 rooms plus the main lodge. Physical Plant managers should have extensive experience in Auto repair, general electrical, plumbing and construction know-how. Managing people in a fun and challenging environment is also a key component. Alaska Sou Chef Main lodge Sou chef position. Industry experience required, professional training and a focus on cleanliness and imagination, working in a fun but fast paced environment. Backup of head chef- training and work with management staff. SORRY NOT AVAILABLE
Lead Mechanic - Maintenance and repairs for fleet of 30 suburbans, mini vans, 1/2 ton trucks. Extensive on the job Industry experience required, professional
training and a focus on organization and imagination, as we keep the fleet on the road during a long summer. SORRY NOT AVAILABLE
