Costa Rica Lodge - An Adventure on the Caribbean

This roadless wilderness of a truly adventurous Costa Rica lodge will be your home in the jungle. Sitting on 40 acres of Caribbean coast, Jungle Tarpon Lodge is like nowhere you have ever been. After traversing the rain and cloud forest of Brauillo Carillo National Park we’ll drop down through a working banana plantation and arrive at a small meeting point on the river, where you’ll meet your guide for the final leg (by boat) before you get your first look at Jungle Tarpon Lodge in Costa Rica. Seeming to appear from the forest, it is a truly unique, one-of-a-kind destination. Not an “Americanized” resort, you will feel that you are in a special place from the minute you arrive.

The delicious, authentic Costa Rica cuisine will feature wild coconut, plantain, pineapple, banana and other local fruits from around the lodge, and will be combined with fresh fish, chicken and lobster and be prepared for you daily by lifetime residents of the area. The bar is open all day and purified water and cola is available 24-7.

Your beautiful rooms feature a hand-laid tile showers and baths, exotic local hardwood floors a beautiful veranda from which to view the jungle and a riverfront dining room and lounge. Jungle Tarpon Lodge is truly a one of a kind property in a completely one of a kind destination.

On most days, you awake to the sounds of the jungle and an American breakfast (or local "Tico-style", if you choose) before heading out for the days adventure, be it Trophy Tarpon fishing or wildlife viewing… then return to the lodge in time for lunch (and perhaps a little siesta time!)  Afterward, it’s off for the afternoon’s adventure - the fishermen may choose freshwater trolling, fly casting or spinning for Tuna, Snook, Guapote or Jack Crevalle, while others choose to enjoy the wildlife viewing, kayaking, photography or other Eco Adventures available.

After the afternoon activity, you’ll arrive back at the lodge in time for a little down time before our happy hour and dinner.  Discuss the following day’s activities with the lead guide, plan your strategy to get that huge tarpon or how to get that perfect picture of a Howler monkey!
