I knew what I wanted for my 50th birthday...a trip back to the Great Alaska lodge. The trip did not disappoint. On our very first day out, I caught a 50-pound king, an appropriate catch for the occasion! I caught some more great fish on the trip, but my catches were far outpaced by my wife Brenda, who Elaine Hoffman and Bob quickly called a "fish-magnet". Day after day, Brenda hauled in more fish than most, and her, "I got another one!" calls will always be a great memory from the adventure. As always, the service at the lodge was great. We enjoy the atmosphere so much! This year, we met and enjoyed time with some really terrific people, including Elaine and Bob, as well as Gene and Oscar, among others. We hope our timing back to Great Alaska next time will coincide with theirs. Thank you, Kent and staff, for making this another wonderful trip for us.
