We have been to several medical continuing education meetings at Great Alaska and I can't say enough wonderful things about the entire experience - people, location, fish - all are world class. On our first visit I was a rank novice at fishing and when I caught my first few fish, I was content to let the guides hold the slippery creatures while I was happy to pose for the picture. Then......... I caught a fish that made me forget my qualms because I was just so proud to have caught such a worthy fish. It made me laugh at myself when I realized how quickly I changed my tune. The picture of the wild swans remains imprinted in my head because it was such a magical moment to be allowed to witness their glory. I am still thankful that I was able to see them - the true Swan Lake experience. Not just great fishing, but such majesty to behold is unforgettable. I love the picture of Steve and I holding the beautiful silvers. Just a reminder of the perfect day we had just spent on the Kenai. It should be noted that Steve is actually holding the fish I had caught that day ;)
